A Pulp special project, in preview
typodojo is where you learn to draw letters by hand, turn them into a real font, and share it or sell it. A daily practice keeps the pen moving; ranks mark how far you have come. While we finish it, the doors open to a few. Join the list, and we will write when it is your turn.
Licenses
Every font on typodojo sells from the same set of licenses. Sellers choose which to offer and set their own prices. The terms are the same everywhere, in plain language, and versioned.
| License | What it covers | Sold by |
|---|---|---|
| Open SIL Open Font License 1.1 | Any use, including commercial use, changes and redistribution, under the license's conditions. | Free only |
| Personal use | Non-commercial use by one person on their own devices: school work, gifts, personal posts, unpaid projects. | One person, free or paid |

| Products for sale | Using the font on physical or digital products that are sold: apparel, mugs, stickers, cut files, printables, templates. | Units: up to 5,000, or unlimited |
| Logo and brand | One logo, wordmark or brand identity, including changing letterforms for the mark and registering it as a trademark. | Brands |
| Web | Self-hosting the web font on domains the licensee owns. | Monthly page views: 10,000, 100,000, 1 million, 10 million |
| App and game | Embedding the font in one app or game, on all platforms. | Titles |
| Broadcast and film | On-screen use in television, streaming, cinema and paid video advertising. | Productions: a film, a series season or a campaign |
| Digital publication | Embedding the font in e-books, digital magazines and interactive PDFs. | Titles |
| Enterprise | Unlimited computers across an organization, multiple brands, server-side image generation, or exclusivity. | By quote |
Certificates
A certificate names the font, the license, the holder and the date, and carries an ID that matches the one stamped into the font file. Make your own for any house font from its page.
So a buyer never has to read the fine print twice.
Licenses last forever for the stated use and include updates within the same major version.
Files may go to a printer, contractor or agency working on your licensed project, who must not keep them afterward. Open fonts follow the OFL instead.
A license belongs to the workspace that bought it and transfers only with the sale of the business or product it covers.
A printed poster, a shipped product or a published video stays licensed forever.
An upgrade replaces the earlier license and charges only the price difference.
Every license records the terms in force when it was issued. Later changes never alter an existing agreement.
Verification
Every license has a public page showing the font, the license, its scope, the licensee (if they allow it) and its status. Anyone who finds the font in use can trace it back. Every file carries its license ID and a link to its page, and stamping never changes your outlines, spacing or metrics.
Pro watermarks, coming soon
Pro fonts carry an invisible signature that identifies the font and its maker. It never identifies the people who use it, and typodojo never reports on documents set in your type.
Keeper of the dojo.
