  • The quiz and one challenge
  • Or 10 minutes in the studio
  • Or 5 minutes of zen

The quiz

five questions.

Three on type, one on motion, one on the history of letters. Each has one answer.

Challenges

three, and one for you.

A quick one, a steady one and a long one. Every challenge is measured: how much of your ink agrees with the letter, or how even the gaps are.

  • For you

    your goal.

Master's seal · one a week

Zen

five minutes. no pausing.

A letter or a word appears; draw it; lift the pen and the next one comes. Keep going to the end. Leaving the tab, the window or the page ends the session.

Five minutes of zen counts as a day of practice on its own.

Share

the day, without the answers.

Ink dots for the quiz, one stamp per challenge. The stamp's shape is the difficulty: round for Initiate, square for Practitioner, a diamond for Master. Hollow means tried, not yet passed.

a dojo of your own

Up to twelve people. The dojo's streak grows on every day each of you practices, and holds through one missed day a week, so one bad day doesn't undo a month.
